Karimnagar Gurudwara
Karimnagar Gurudwara is coincidently related with the 2nd phase of Sikhs who got settled in Deccan. This was during the time of Ranjit Singh Maharaja Year 1828 to year 1839. At that time, Hyderabad Nizam was ruling the sixteen provinces. At Present, the population of this place is more than five thousand people. Ramagundam is one of the nearest cities located to this place.
History
If you go through the history of this place, then all the Sikhs that are settled over here are known to be very adaptable. This is one of the growing communities and it has always known to easily adapt the challenges. Secunderabad as well as Hyderabad regarded as the twin cities are known for having the Sikh fraternity of more than thirty-five thousand people in all. It has been known that people living over here do not stick to their ethical culture and they had been always welcoming the natives of other region as well. The Sikh people who are settled over here are known by the name of Deccani Sikh and they could be easily traced during the times of Guru Nanak and they were also accompanied by 2 students namely Mardana and Hindu. After 3 centuries, during 1708 A.D. September, Guru Gobind Singh was on the sojourn towards southern region. Guru was having entourage of approximately three hundred persons with them and that was very common during that times. These people have made Nanded as their home town and they were getting married in local families as well. Gradually, the Sikh community was growing at a faster pace and today it is very well known that Punjabi community have got blended with people of other culture very well.
