Gurudwara Nima Serai Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur
Gurudwara Nima Serai Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur is one of the Sikh shrines in the West Bengal. It is situated near the river bank of Mahananda in Malda. This Gurudwara is very ancient in the state. Though it is one of the old Gurudwaras in the country, it still has its purity and essence of divine.
This Gurudwara was visited by the two great and pious Gurus. Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Nanak Dev had spent time visiting this place. The nearby river provides more serenity to this holy Sikh shrine. Due to the natural surroundings, the large number of visitors and the devotees come here and offer their prayers to the Gurus.
History
Gurudwara Nima Serai Guru Tegh Bahadur has its historical significance. During the time of Guru Tegh Bahadur, he visited this place and also Guru Nanak Dev did spend time to this sacred place. Their visit had made the place altogether different and unique. This is the reason that the hundreds of thousands devotees from all over the world travel to Malda to bow down at the lotus feet of the Masters.
The old Malda is called as Gurudwara Nima Serai Guru Tegh Bahadur. In the memory of these Gurus, there is a shrine built in the old Malda. Due to the new Malda, the popularity of the old Malda has decreased and there is a dramatic down fall in the number of visitors.
The original Gurudwara Nima Serai Guru Tegh Bahadur still has an old wall and two stone-works platforms.

Gurudwara Nima Serai Guru Tegh Bahadur has small area. As the new Malda has developed, there is no new development has taken place at old Malda. However, there is a special group who took interest in restoration of old Malda and increased its historical value and now it is named as Shri Prayag Sahib.

Malda is the district head quarter. As the town is located near the river bank of Mahananda, the temperature is mild and moderate. It is more comfortable to visit this place between the months of October to March.

By Road
Malda has good road transport facility. It is directly connected to Kolkata. Malda is 410 km from Kolkata. Also, Silliguri can be easier as it is only 260km.
By Air
The Kolkata Airport is the nearer one to reach to Malda. From the airport, one can reach to Malda by bus or taxi.
