Gurudwara Charan Paduka Patshahi 1 Te 9 is in Nizamabad which is inside the suburbs of Azamgarh district. It is not a very big town where this Sikh gurudwara is situated.
History
Gurudwara Charan Paduka Patshahi 1 Te 9 is situated in Nizamabad. A link road which is at a distance of eight kilometer links the place to Serai Rani. It is on the road of Jaunpur-Azamgarh. There is another road which is at a distance of 6 kilometers and it connects it to Phariha. Phariha and Serai Rani both are the railway stations. They are in the North-Eastern Railway section on the meter gauge of Ballia-Shahganj.
In the starting of the sixteenth century at the time of eastern Udasi, Guru Nanak Dev visited Nizamabad and Guru Tegh Bahadur also visited the same during his journey while going to Punjab in 1670. Charan Paduka, a shrine which were the wooden sandals of ancient under priests of Udasi. It happened until Goindwal’s Bawa Kripa Dayal Singh built a well-established Gurudwara. He settled himself there to preach the religion of Sikhism. It soon became a very popular centre for Sikhs at the time of Sadho Singh who was his son and also his grandson, Bawa Sumer Singh, a renowned author, poet and scholar. The shrine was later called Gurudwara Charan Paduka Patshahi 1 Te 9.
Sant Sadhu Singh Maunj renovated its building. The administration of the building was managed by his successors. Besides this, there is also a wooden sandal pair kept which is sacred as Guru Tegh Bahadur used it. There are also some ancient Guru Granth Sahib's hand-written copies.

By Road
In the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, Azamgarh has a bus station which is one of the largest and biggest bus stations. It is connected by road with Delhi and Lucknow. It has a daily service of buses in almost all districts of Uttar Pradesh which is also from Delhi. A four lane NH 233 highway crossed from Varanasi to Lumbini via Azamgarh.
By Train
Azamgarh has its own railway station in the town known as Azamgarh railway station which is one of the popular stations of the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. It is connected directly to Lucknow, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ajmer, Delhi, Amritsar, Ahmedabad by BP AMH express (13137).
By Air
Azamgarh has an airport which is at a distance of 9 km known as Manduri airport. Lal Bahadur Shastri airport is at a distance of 100 km in Varanasi which is the nearest airport to Azamgarh.
