History
Gurudwara Guru Nanak Bagichi is located near the Yamuna River between Vrindavan and Mathura in close proximity with Masani railway station. It was the long month of Savan when Guru Nanak Devji visited the Shravan Fair being held in the month of Bikrami which is usually the months of July and August. It is believed that during these months, the river water usually gets muddy and so Guru Nanak Dev made a set-up of a "piau" which is a stall of drinking water as he found the water of that well sweet and took care of it. He served cleaned water to the pilgrims of that town. He stayed there for a period of three months. There, he met a childless couple named Mohan and his wife Sitabai, they were blessed by a son by Guru Nanak Dev as they served him throughout. During the period of 1950s, an establishment of the memorial shrine took place which was maintained and looked after by many Udasi priests and later on a Singh Sabha of Mathura took it over. Later in 1975, Sant Sadhu Singh Mauni took it over for the purpose of reconstruction.
Structure
