Pehowa, Haryana bears a lot of religious significance for the Sikhs and Gurudwara Baoli Sahib is one of them. This sacred shrine has a prominent relationship with the Sikh community. The Gurudwara remains open all year round, no matter which season and time.
History
This sacred shrine is dedicated in the memory of Guru Nanak Devji. When he visited the place the local pundits used to rule the place. Their religious tricks were nothing but exploiting the people and loot them. When Guru Nanak Devji came to know about this false pretend, he admonished them by saying that this might be looking profitable today, but the number of sins they are accumulating will pay off one day. The pundits then realized their mistakes and sought forgiveness.
Guru Nanak Devji stayed at the place for the longest time, spending the majority of his time preaching to the folks and meditating. The birth anniversaries of Guru Gobind Singh and Guru Nanak Dev Ji are celebrated every year here.
Architecture
A golden gumbad - dome shaped is the crowning feature of this Gurudwara. There are four doors to get in, which symbolizes the openness of the Sikh religion towards all the religion and people.
