Gurudwara Neem Sahib Kaithal

Gurudwara Neem Sahib in Kaithal has been built in the memory of the Ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. Guru Tegh Bahadur stayed here when he was on his onward journey from Anandpur Sahib to Delhi. He stayed at the site of Gurudwara Manji Sahib.

History

It was very early in the morning that the Guru came to this place. After having his bath at the Thandar Tirth which is also known as the Dandhar Tirth, the Guru sat in meditation under a neem tree. Many people who had heard of the Guru's arrival flocked to have a glimpse of him. One such devotee was suffering from high fever. He was given the leaves of the neem tree which cured him. It was due to this fact that the place was known as Neem Sahib. It is in this place that all Gurpurabs are celebrated here. A langar is organized every month on Sangrand which is considered to be the first day of the month in the lunar calendar.

Reach

By Bus

You can reach Kaithal by bus when you are in Hissar via Chandigarh state highway. It is very easy to reach any area of Punjab through this road by bus. Punjab is very well connected to Delhi. You will also be able to get a direct bus service for Dubawali, Sirsa from here.

By Railway

Kaithal railway station is located between Narwana branch of railway line and Kurukshetra.

On reaching Kaithal, you  can easily reach the Gurudwara.
