History
The location in which Gurudwara Pakki Sangat stands in the Pepalpanti road of Munger, was originally housing a Hindu temple in dilapidated condition, with shrines for different Hindu deities, established before 500 years or so. During 1667 AD, when Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh was proceeding to Assam from Patna at the request of Delhi Sultan's Army Chief Ram Singh, he had stayed in this place for a few days. It is at that time the news of the birth of a son reached Guruji and after this tour Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh attained Martyrdom at Delhi, when he had to confront the Emperor Aurangzeb for retaining Sikh identity. The old temple was converted to Gurudwara during his stay here and as pronounced by Guruji it became a permanent Gurudwara, the name of it suggesting that. The term Pakki stands to convey the Permanent status of the Gurudwara.
Legends also convey that this was land of Rishi Mudgal, with whom God Ram had taken rest during his exile from Ayodhya and also Sita Devi underwent the eventful Agni Pariksha (Walking on fire to prove her purity). This place also bears many other historical incidents of medieval period.
