Gurudwara Mardon Sahib Patshahi
The Sikh shrine Gurudwara Patshahi 9 and 10 was established to commemorate the visits of the 9th and 10th Sikh Gurus, Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh. This Gurudwara is beautifully constructed on the bank of Ghaggar River, running in Patiala District, in a village called Nanheri, which is about 10 km south west of Ambala City. Guru Tegh Bahadurji had stayed in this village for several days with Bhai Ghoga, a local masand, during his tours to the eastern parts during 1665, and Guru Gobind Singh had come here as a child from his mother’s place Lakhnaur in 1670 and at the request of Bhai Ghoga.
The present Gurudwara building exists right on the banks of the river, protecting the village from the vagaries of the river during seasons. The Gurudwara comprises an assembly hall with a sanctum inside it in square shape. This Gurudwara is managed by the village sangat.
