Gurudwara Shahid Baba Deep Singh

Baba Deep Singh Gurudwara is very well regarded among Sikhs and this is also martyrs in Sikh community. He was regarded as one of the most religious person and Gurudwara Baba Deep Singh has been built in his memory. He was also remembered for sacrifice as well as devotion to teachings of all Sikh Gurus. He has been regarded as the 1st head of the Damdami Taksha, this was three hundred years old religious school of Sikhs and this was founded through last guru Guru Gobind Singh.

History

This Gurudwara has been located at prikarma of the Gurudwara Harmandir sahib, Amritsar. Deep Singh Ji Baba was one of the famous leaders - Shaheedan Missel Di and that was among 12 missels. He had also actively participated in the writing of Guru Granth and also the different battles that had taken place in eighteenth century. In year 1757, when Deep Baba Singh Jee have got this news regarding the Jahan and Taimurshah Khan have shown the disrespect for Darbar Sahib and they were also filling holy sarovar. He had also taken the pledge that he would teach the lesson to all the cruel and they have started his journey for the Amritsar Sahib. When Jahan Khan have heard this, he made thousands soldiers ready on outskirts of town near to Gohalvadh village. One of the biggest miracle happened in this battle that made his enemies frightened. Baba Ji had held its head in left hand and through his right hand, he used to sway Khanda. In the similar manner, combating this battle, he reached to Shri Amritsar and also offered its head at the Harmandir Sahib. At the Shaheed Bunge, Parkama, this is one of the gurudwara that will be reminding of the Baba Ji and will be acting as the inspiration source and will make alive holiness of these places.
