Gurudwara Phalahi Sahib
Gurudwara Shri Flahi Sahib is located in Duley Village in Ludhiana District of Punjab State and it is known for the visit of Guru Gobind Singhji’s to this place from Alamgir.
Guru Sahib stayed in this place for a night, when he sent for the Sardars of Kila Raipur through a devotee called Bhai Man Singh. But, the sardars did not respond and then Guruji proceeded with his tour further.
This Gurudwara was raised in honor of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib marking his visit to the Village. Since Guru Sahib had tied his horse in a Flahi tree, the shrine was also named Gurudwara Flahi Sahib.
History
When the 10th Guru of Sikhism Guru Gobind Singhji visited Gurudwara at Alamgir, where now Gurudwara Manji Sahib exists, Bhai Naghahia Ji offered Guruji a horse in which Guruji rode to the nearby village Duley. Here he took rest for a night when he had tied the horse in a Flahi tree. When he was staying there Guruji sent word for the Sardarjis of the Kila Raipur, expecting them to call on him. But, none of them turned up. Unmindful of this, Guruji proceeded to Village Ratan and stayed there for a night. The womenfolk of Raipur came to know about it at that time and were totally upset over it. They came here taking the Sardars with them, also carrying Langar for Guru Sahib and served with great devotion. They pleaded guilty and asked him to forgive them. Guruji blessed them whole heartedly, wishing them long life. Guruji also seeded a Tahlidatan here which grew up to a good tree later. Some of the people wanted to disturb its growth by uprooting it, but whoever made such attempts either lost their eyesight or became a kohri. Holy Guru also informed that whoever takes a holy bath in the pond nearby the tree, will have their diseases cured, which really happened.
