Gurudwara Dera Baba Nanak
Gurudwara Dera Baba Nanak located in Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur, Punjab, India has a history connected to Guru Nanak in a way that Guruji had mediated here near the well known as AJITA RANDHWA DA KHOOH upon completion of his first tour (Udasi) in 1506 and more so the place also has importance since the Guruji held discussions here with Ajita Randhawa. This Gurudwara is located at about a distance of 1 km from Indo-Pak border and on Ravi River’s bank. The western area is adored by Kartarpur town of Pakistan. Guru Nanak used to regularly visit here for meditation. The Guru died near the Pakoke village which is opposite to the town Kartarpur near the border of Pakistan. The Bedis took pains to construct a new town and called it as Dera Baba Nanak after their predecessors. Many pilgrims visit this place and Dera Baba Nanak is the head quarters since it is famous historically and houses and lanes of olden days of Nanak have been still preserved here.

Gurudwara Sri Darbar Sahib which stands in the memory of the Great Guru Nanak Dev Ji after his return from first Udasi in December 1515 AD has traces to his family members’ contribution for its construction and the Guruji’s wife Mata Sulakhni and two sons Baba Sri Chand and Baba Lakshmi Chand who visited here to stay with their maternal uncle at Pako Ke Randhawa near Dera Baba Nanak and has thus gained more importance.
The famous personalities viz Jaswant Singh Rahi, Bishan Singh Bedi, Kabir Bedi, Akash Raj, Suraj Raj, have traces of their belongings to this place.
