The history of Gurudwara Patshahi Chevin is worth noticeable. Its history also explains that it is here that Guru Hargobind met the Muslim saint Bahlor Shah at that particular time.
There is also a saying which states that during that visit the Sikh Guru was accompanying the King Jahangir as well. Most Muslims of that particular area presented the uniquely designed chair which was actually a handmade chair or Takht. King Jahangir advised the citizens to offer it to the Sikh Guru and take his blessings as well for salvation. This gesture had greater impact on Sikh Guru who preferred staying at this location itself for the longer time period against his previous plan.
He used to prefer sitting on that chair while meeting with good number of common masses and preaching the ideals of Sikhism. Such stories of this place had already necessitated the motive to build Gurudwara Patshahi Chevin Gurudwara that still exists there.
