Gurudwara Bari Sangat Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji
Gurudwara Bari Sangat Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Chauki is part of district Bhagalpur that is located on the banks of River Ganges. It is reachable by train in the city of Monghyr located at a distance of 63 kms towards east. This place has been visited by Guru Tegh Bahdur in 1667 and was adored by two Sikh sangats: ‘Choti Sangat’ and ‘Bari Sangat’. Bari Sangat is located on Burhanath Ghat which has been casted from stone and is on the left hand side of Ghat which is sacred for the people who worship at this place. In 1974, Sardar Inder Singh Atwal constructed a room on this Bari Sangat. At the time of Amavasya, the sacred Granth Sahib is placed at the old slab where flocks of worshippers gather. This slab is worshipped as Chauki Sahib. A copy of hand written sacred Guru Granth Sahib has been obtained from an ex-Udasi priest who used to take care of the Gurudwara during earlier days. The other sacred place is the Choti sangat located at a short distance from Bari Sangat where at current times stands a temple that is worshipped by Hindu community.
Best Season to Visit Bhagalpur
The weather condition in district Bhagalpur in summers is very warm since the area experiences high temperature during this time. The monsoon season sees heavy rainfall. During winters, it is very cold since the area experiences steep slope in the temperature when winters are at its peak. The tourists are advised to carry heavy woolen clothing during winter season.

The months of October and November experiences maximum number of visitors.
The months between December and February are the months of winters in the area and the temperature variation during these months is as low as 11 degree Celsius while maximum temperature goes up to 18 degree Celsius.
How to Reach
By Road
The Gurudwara can be reached via road that is named as National Highway 81 and connects the Mokama and Farakka. The other road that is connected to the district is through National Highway 31 that passes through Naugauchia District and is also a connection point between Patna and Guwahati where Patna area covers Begusarai and Khagaria while Guwahati covers Purnea and Kishanganj. The other town en-route National Highway 81 is Kahalgaon and Bhagalpur.
By Rail
The rail line of the Bhagalpur district is part of Eastern railway broad gauge line that runs between Kiul and Burdwan. The other districts that are covered along this loop are Sultanganj, Sabour, Bhagalpur and Kahalgaon. Northern part of Bhagalpur district is connected with Barauni and Katihar rail loop that is part of north eastern rail section. The other major stations that en-route this track are Narainpur, Naugauchia, Bihpur and Katihar.
