Gurudwara Shri Gurugranth Sahib Atihasik Hoshangabad
The famous city of Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh is named after Hoshang Shah who ruled Narmadapuram and the river Naramada flowing in the city, after which the name Narmadapuram came. The Gurudwara has occupied a center place which is more famous for the tourist.

It was during his visit to the nearby places and more so to the Southern States that the Sikh Guru Guru Nanakji, who stayed at Indore, in MP passed through this city and thus the city has become famous for its holy status and a Gurudwara has come up here. This is a very important place for the Sikh devotees and one can find several tourists and pilgrims visiting this place regularly.
The Gurudwara Committee of the region arranges the meetings and regular functions and meetings for the conduct of various poojas and other important rituals, which is attended by many on a regular basis.
This place is well connected through Rail and Road routes from Bhopal, the capital of MP and the Gurudwara is well within the city reach and there are vehicles easily available from nearby centers. Itarsi is the main junction which is linked to the city through train route. Bandharban, Salkhanpur, Hushang Shah Fort are other important nearby places to visit. Also one can visit pilgrimages like Hanuman Mandir, Ramji Baba Samadhi, Pahadiya (Old Carvings of Pandavas) and Ancient Shani Mandir.
