Gurudwara Baba Gurditta Ji Nawanshahr
There is more than one Gurudwara established in honor of Baba Gurditta Ji and one such gurudwara is in Chandpur Rurki Village in Nawanshahr District of Punjab.
Gurudwara Baba Gurditta Ji is located right at the entrance of the village Chandpur Rurki (SBS Nagar) which is 1.5 km from Garhshankar - Anandpur Sahib Link highway.

History
Baba Gurditta Ji were the eldest son of the 6th Sikh Guru Shri Hargobind Singh Ji, in whose house the Holy Guru lived for years and where the 7th Guru Har Rai and the 8th Guru Harkrishan were born.
Baba Gurditta Ji once visited Chandpur Rurki accompanying two of his associates and stayed for one night along with their horses. Because of the visit, this Gurudwara also maintains two Samadhis in the main Gurudwara Sahib for the two associates. The chain with which the horses were tied is still kept as a relic in the Gurudwara Sahib.
People of this area have a belief that when they offer prayers to Baba Gurditta Ji, every activity they start complete without any hindrance. The devotees visiting this Gurudwara follow a maxim which conveys that the events that start with faith on Baba Gurditta Ji.
Celebrations
There are two major events associated with this Gurudwara, both being celebrated every year, which are
- Nishan Sahib Celebrations start on 'Sankranti' day in the month of August is held for two to three days. Bhog is a particular event from Akhand Path celebrated on Sankranti day. All residents of this village participate with all earnestness in these celebrations and after Nishan Sahib, a holy Kirtan is performed and all sangat following with holy shabads.
- The birthday of Baba Gurditta Ji is celebrated with full fervor on 24 November. During this celebration also the Bhog ceremony is an important element and the ceremony is concluded with the distribution of holy dish 'Karah Parshad' and other ceremonies like Kirtan and sangat follow.
How To Reach
This Gurudwara is located at about 19 Km from Nawanshahr, which is also known as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, lies in a place 92 km distance from Chandigarh.
Nawanshahr Railway station is on Garhshankar-Balachaur Road and it is 1.5 Km from Garhshankar-Anandpur Sahib link highway near the Village Chandpur Rurki. There are plenty of buses from Amritsar to this place.
Nawanshahr is approachable from Amritsar Airport which is at about 11 km distance. One can reach this place from Chandigarh Airport and New Delhi's Indira Gandhi Airport in about 2 and 6.5 hours by road respectively.
