In 1669 AD, Holy 9th Guru of Sikhs, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji accompanied Raja Ram Singh on the latter's request, when he came to help Asom King Chakradhwaj Singha, on behalf of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, to control a rebellion. Guru's presence was requested by the Mughal General for a moral support, which eventually ended up in sustaining the magical power and efforts of Assamese on the other side. Because of Guruji's prowess, a 26 foot long stone hurled on him from the other side of Brahmpra River and a tree sent afterwards, could not harm him or the General. Thereafter, the rebels begged his pardon saying that they were concerned with foreign invasion and so they were rebellious. Guruji brought both the side to calm themselves and brought in a settlement between both the parties.
