Gurudwara Baoli Sahib Village
The first Guru of Sikh Religion Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited the place of Village Nanakmatta during his third trip in 1514 AD and is famous for his religious and spiritual power due to which the place has gained much importance. The story goes like – the entire area in this region had been dried up totally without water by the Yogis through their super natural powers and they challenged Guruji to bring water to this place. The Guru advised Bhai Mardana to pull water from the nearby river, where actually was no water, through a spade. As instructed, Bhai Mardana pulled the water through the spade which started following him. Once Bhai Mardana reached the place, he turned back to see whether the river was still following him, but the river stopped at this place which was a miracle. This was not possible by the Yogis and in spite of their best efforts, they failed in their attempts to stop the water flow in the area. They then surrendered to the Guruji accepting their folly.
