Gurudwara Guru Dang Mar Jheel
Gurudwara Guru Dang Mar Jheel is a wonderful spot located in northern Sikkim. It must be noted that the jheel remains frozen due to extreme cold and snow half of the year. Guru Nanak Sahib visited the spot during the 3rd Udasi in order to pacify Karma ma Nying clan being harassed by Ge Lug Pa clan. Several narrations demonstrate that Guru Nanak Sahib's journey to the Far East, Himalayas and China also visited Nepal, Uttarakhand, Bhutan, Sikkim, Ladakh and other prominent places around 1516 AD. History
Visiting different holy places in Nepal, Guru Nanak Sahab moved to Tibet via Nanak-la pass and arrived at Sakya monastery. The previous ruler of Tibet, by then, thrown by Ge-lug-pa clan but was still clutching on to the monastery. Furthermore, Guru Sahab assisted Trasung Deochung rebuild this monastery. Deochung flattered him with a beautiful robe that is conserved in Lachen Gompha. Guru Nanak Sahib went to Lachung, Thangu, Chungthang, Pyakochin and Yumthang. At Chungthang a tree grew out of Guru Nanak's stick, blessed footprints of Guru, rice fields and spring sanctified by Guru Nanak venerate Guru Nanak's visit. Moreover, at Pyakochin, a beautiful engraving on rock, in Gurmukhi writing, was earlier conserved to venerate the visit of Nanak Sahib. From Pyakochin, Guru Nanak Sahab is believed to have moved to Chumbi Valley via Ghora-la, on the way to Bhutan.
However, some grazers estimated another predicament to Guru Nanak. Owing to the outcome of height, their virility was certainly affected. They asked Guru Nanak Sahib to do something. He blessed the pond saying;" Whosoever takes or consumes the water of the pond will gain strength and virility and will be sanctified with kids." The individuals of the region tend to have strong trust in Guru's words and blessings. They believe the water is similar to nectar.

Best Time to Visit
It has been suggested to travel during summer season. The majority of six months gets very cold due to severe snowfall and chilly winds. It is better to travel to Gurudwara Guru Dang Mar Jheel during summer season. Period from April to August is considered appropriate for exploration. The weather during this period gets very favorable for exploration.

By Road
Travelers can board government buses in Sikkim in order to reach Gurudwara Guru Dang Mar Jheel. The bus routes and fares are set by the government. There are no private buses on this route due to close proximity to China border. Buses actually operate between Siliguri and Gangtok.
By Air
Devotees can easily get down at Bagdogra airport. It is situated in northern part of West Bengal. The airport is very close to Siliguri. Kingfisher, Spicejet, Go Air, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and other airlines operate flights to and from Bagdogra.
By Train
If travelers want to travel to Gurudwara Guru Dang Mar Jheel, then they need to get down at Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri railway station. These railway stations are very close to Sikkim state.
