Coconut Laddu
Brief Description
Coconut Laddus can be prepared very easily and quickly at home. It is generally prepared at home during the occasion of Diwali. During these occasions many sweets are prepared and it is much better to prepare it at home. Mawa or condensed milk can be used to prepare Coconut Laddus . But mawa is preferred more in Laddus than the condensed milk because it makes the laddus tastier. Raw coconut or dried coconut can be used to prepare Coconut Laddu. If you are using raw coconut for preparing it then grate it and take 1 table spoon of ghee and roast it but if you are using dried coconut for preparing it then there’s no need to roast it
Time required to prepare 10 minutes Time required to cook 45 minutes Serves 8 to 10 Ingredients For Coconut Laddu
- 1 grated coconut
- Milk : 1 ltr
- Sugar : 350 gms
- cardamom (elaichi) powder : 1 tsp
- roasted semolina (rava) : 1/2 cup
For The Garnish
sliced cherries : 2 tbsp
How to make Coconut Laddu
- Take a deep pan and add milk, coconut and sugar in it. Cook it on medium flame and stir it continuously.
- Cook the mixture till it becomes thick. Then reduce the flame and cook it for some more time.
- Remove the flame as the mixture becomes semi-solid.
- Add cardamom powder and semolina and mix it well.
- In equal portions divide the mixture.
- Grease your hands with water or ghee and make medium size ladoo balls of each portion.
- Use cherries for garnish.
- Serve and enjoy it or refrigerate it.
