Chicken In Cumin Sauce
Brief Description
Chicken in cumin Sauce is an easy dish. You can have this chicken in cumin sauce with green vegetables and bread dipped in butter. It is a very tasty dish.
Preparation Time 20 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Chicken in Cumin Sauce
- Beer bottle - 500ml
- Old Whole meal bead - 100g, cut them into small pieces.
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Ground ginger - 1/4 teaspoon
- Duck fat - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped bacon - 2 ( good quality)
- 8 pieces jointed chicken - 1 (1.7–2kg)
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
How to make Chicken in Cumin Sauce
- In a bowl mix beer, spices, bread, and salt. Stir them until they get mixed properly. Keep aside for some time.
- Now melt duck fat in a large skillet over a medium flame. Add bacon to the pan, stirring and frying it until it gets brown. Now remove the above from the skillet with the help of a slotted spoon, shaking out all the fat. Now add chicken pieces to the skillet, fry it until the color of the chicken turns into golden brown. This is done probably in two batches.
- Now blend the beer with the bread to make a fine sauce. Return back the chicken to the skillet. Add beer sauce, bacon to the chicken. Set flame to low. Cover the skillet and cook the chicken for about 1 hour, until the chicken becomes soft.
- Now take out the chicken from the pan, place it onto the place. Put some honey into the beer sauce.
- Serve it with some green vegetables and bread crumbs.
Some Useful Tips
- Green chilies can be added or removed according to one’s taste.
- The chicken pieces can be greased with butter and cooked in an oven instead of using gas
