Chicken in Red Wine Sauce
Brief Description
Chicken in Red wine sauce is a very tasty and economic dish. Sauce gets flavorised by cooking the chicken in this manner when all the collagen breaks down. In result chicken gets tender and moist.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 20 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Chicken in Red Wine Sauce
- Pieces of chicken - 1 kg
- Freshly grounded pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mustard powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt acc to taste
- Button Mushrooms - 250 gm
- Red chili - 12 , soaked in ½ cup of olive oil
- Red wine - 250 ml
- Fresh cream - 200 gm
- Cooked rice - 1cup
How to make Chicken in Red Wine Sauce
- Apply a coat of mustard powder, ground pepper, and salt to the chicken.
- Now in a large skillet place the pieces of chicken, olive oil soaked red chilies, fresh cream, salt, and button mushrooms
- Cook over high flamer for about 2 minutes.
- Now cover the skillet, cook for another 15 minutes. Make sure that the chicken becomrs tender and the gravy should be thick.
- Spread rice on a plate and place chicken over it
- Serve it hot.
Chicken in Red Wine Sauce
Some Useful Tips
- If you prefer making paste of garlic, ginger, and fresh chili at home, then don’t forget to add canola/ sunflower/ or vegetable oil to it. Mix it well. Refrigerate it and use as if required.
