Chicken Peshawari
Brief Description
Chicken peshawari is a famous recipe of Hyderabad. It is easy to make. You can try it at home.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Chicken Peshawari
- 1 – Chicken (whole)
- ½ kg - Potato
- ½ kg - Tomato
- ¼ kg - Yogurt
- 2 teaspoon - Black pepper
- 2 teaspoon – Garlic – ginger paste
- ½ saffron - Saffron
- 1 teaspoon - Salt
- 10 - Green chilies
- 1 cup - Oil
How to make Chicken Peshawari
- In a bowl take ginger – garlic paste, yogurt, salt, and saffron. Mix them well.
- Seasoned the chicken with this mixture. Keep it for about 4 hrs or overnight.
- Now peel the potatoes and cut them into two pieces.
- Cut lengthwise green chilies.
- Now heat up some oil in a sauce pan. Place sliced potatoes and tomatoes into it.
- Shower some salt over it acc to taste.
- Now put marinated chicken into it.
- Sprinkle black pepper and add green chilies into it.
- Cover the sauce pan with lid.
- Cook for about 5 minutes on high heat.
- Then again cook for 40 more minutes on low heat.
- Remove the lid and cook until water gets dry.
- Serve hot with rice or Nan.
