Chicken Malai Curry
Brief Description
Chicken Malai Curry is paired with coconut, mustard, curry mixture, spices to make it awesome and yummy.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 20 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Chicken Malai Curry
- Ghee - 30 gms
- Finely chopped onions - 1
- Crushed garlic cloves - 2
- Pieces of chicken - 1 1/2 kg
- Thin coconut milk - 2 1/2 cups (625ml)
- Fresh lemon juice - 2 tablespoon
- Mixture of curry
- Ground coriander - 1 tablespoon
- Ground mustard - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Ground turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
- Ground ginger - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
How to make Chicken Malai Curry
- Heat ghee in sauce pan. Cook garlic and finely chopped onion until onion becomes tender.
- Now mix all curry ingredients.
- Add lemon juice and coconut milk. Keep it on low flame, do not cover the sauce pan, cook for about 45 minutes until the coconut milk gets thicker and chicken becomes tender.
Chicken Malai Curry
Some Useful Tips
- You can increase the flame if some liquid is left, and cook till all liquid gets vaporized.
- You can use boneless chicken also for this recipe. But if you are using boneless chicken then reduce the weight of the chicken. Rest all the ingredients will remain the same. Also reduce the time of cooking.
- Acc to taste black pepper amount can be decreased or increased.
- If you want some extra gravy then keep some hot water along with you.
