Kubani Ka Meetha
Brief Description
Khubani ka Meetha is a very famous sweet dish of Hyderabad which can be prepared very easily. Khubani is a Hindi term and is referred as Apricots in English. Similarly meetha is also a Hindi term and is referred as sweet in English. So Khubani ka Meetha can be referred as apricot sweet or sweet dish made from apricots in English.
Time required to prepare 10-15 minutes Time required to cook 20-30 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients For Kubani Ka Meetha
- 250 g : Dried Apricots
- 150 g : Sugar
- 250 g : Fresh Cream
- 1 tbsp : Custard Powder
- 100 ml : Milk
- 50 g : Sugar (for custard)
- 4 cup : Water
For Garnishing
- Pistachio
- Cashew nuts
How to make Khubani Ka meetha
- First of all wash the apricots and soak it in water for at least 3 to 4 hours.
- Deseed the apricots and boil them till it becomes soft.
- Now add sugar and cook it for at least 5 minutes so that water evaporates and keep it aside.
- Take 2 tbsp of milk and dissolve the custard powder in it.
- Now boil the milk which is remaining and add custard in it.
- Add sugar according to your taste and sweetness of the apricots and mix it well so that it becomes soft custard and refrigerate it
Serving
- Take a transparent bowl and make layers of custard in it.
- Place cooked apricots on it.
- Add fresh cream.
- Garnish with pistachio and cashew nut.
