Ksheera Kesari
Brief Description
In different places it is known with different names such as ksheera in marathi, kesari bath in Karnataka, sojji in Tamilnadu and sooji ka halva in UP. In Tamilnadu, Sojji and bajji is served as the main snack during the girl seeing ceremony. It is very delicious and can be prepared very easily.
Time to Prepare 10-15 minutes Time for cooking 20-30 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients For Ksheera
- 1 cup : Rava / sooji / semolina
- 1 cup : Sugar
- 4 tsp : Ghee
- 1 cup : Water
- 4 : Cashew
- 2 : Cardamom
- 5 to 6 : Raisin
- Kesar food colour - pinch
How to make Ksheera
- Take 1 tsp of ghee and fry raisins and cashews in it and keep it aside.
- Take a pan and add 1 tsp of ghee and heat it. Add rava in it and fry till it colour changes.
- Take another pan and boil water in it. Add a pinch of food colour ie. Kesar and boil it.
- Now add fried rava in it and stir it continuously.
- Fully cook the rava and then add sugar and stir it well.
- Add the remaining ghee and mix it well.
- When the rava starts leaving the sides of the pan then remove it.
- Use cardamom, fried cashews and raisins for garnishing.
