Chicken Liver Masala
Brief Description
Chicken Liver Masala is a great source of vitamin B6, protein, vitamin B12, folate, riboflavin, niacin, iron, phosphorus, vitamin C, vitamin A, copper, pantothenic acid, and selenium. Also it is a good source of dietary such as zinc, thiamin, and manganese.
Preparation Time 15 mins Cooking Time 20 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Chicken Liver Masala
- 1 cup - chicken liver
- Finely chopped onion - 1 number
- Finely chopped tomato - 1 number
- 2 tablespoon garlic – ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon - chili powder
- 1 teaspoon – chicken tikka powder or any chicken- 65
- ¼ teaspoon - turmeric powder
- Salt acc to taste
- 1 tablespoon - refined oil
- Little curry leaves
- Finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon - Water
How to make Chicken Liver Masala
- Warm oil in a sauce pan. Put finely chopped onions, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, and tomatoes. Cook for about 2-3 minutes till tomatoes starts melting.
- Now put chicken 65 masala or chicken tikka Masala, chili powder, garlic-ginger paste into the sauce pan. Cook till oil gets separated from the Masala.
- Now put chicken liver pieces into the mixture and add 1 cup of water. Cover the sauce pan with a lid.
- Cook till gravy becomes dry. Now keep the sauce pan aside.
- Garnish the chicken liver Masala with chopped coriander leaves and fried curry leaves.
- Serve it hot. You can also serve it with rice or chapattis.

Some Useful Tips
- If you prefer making paste of garlic, ginger, and fresh chili at home, then don’t forget to add canola/ sunflower/ or vegetable oil to it. Mix it well. Refrigerate it and use as if required.
