Chicken Kali Mirch
Brief Description
Chicken kali mirch is an easy dish to make. It requires very less ingredients and also less oil. So it is less fatty. Also black pepper adds distinctive flavors to it.
Preparation Time 20 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Serves 4 Ingredients for Chicken Kali Mirch
- Cleaned and cut into small pieces chicken - 1kg
- Black pepper corns - 1/2 cloves
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt acc to taste
- Laung - 5 cloves
- Curry leaves - 1 stem large
- Finely chopped tomatoes - 1/2
- Sliced onion - 1 medium
- Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon
- Finely chopped garlic - 10 cloves
- Oil - 4 tablespoon
How to make Chicken Kali Mirch
- Roughly grind the cloves of pepper corns in a skillet along with salt and turmeric powder mix in it. Refrigerate it for some time.
- Now make some oil heated and put grinded cloves first.
- After that put the onion and garlic into the skillet.
- Once onions cooked and color changes to light brown, add tomatoes to it.
- As tomatoes get roasted, add coriander powder to it.
- Cook until oil separates from the paste.
- Now curry leaves and a cup of water to the skillet.
- Now add marinated chicken as water starts boiling.
- Cover the skillet.
- Cook until the chicken gets tender.
- Serve it with roti’s.

Some Useful Tips
- You can increase the flame if some liquid is left, and cook till all liquid gets vaporized.
- You can use boneless chicken also for this recipe. But if you are using boneless chicken then reduce the weight of the chicken. Rest all the ingredients will remain the same. Also reduce the time of cooking.
- Acc to taste black pepper amount can be decreased or increased.
- If you want some extra gravy then keep some hot water along with you.
