    Brief Description

    Raj Bhog is a very famous Indian sweet dish. You can easily learn this delicious dish by following the Raj Bhog recipe and you can start the Raj Bhog preparation and can prepare it at home within a short span of time.

    Ingredients for Raj Bhog

    • 200 grams of Cottage Cheese
    • 2 tablespoon of Cashew Nuts
    • 2 tablespoon of  Almonds
    • 1/2 kilogram of Sugar
    • 1/2 tablespoon of Saffron, Which Is Soaked In Milk
    • Fresh Yellow Colour
    • 2 tablespoon of  Cardamom Powder

    How To Make Raj Bhog

    • First, mix the cashew nuts, pistachios almonds and cardamom powder.
    • Then, mix it well in a mixer in order to make it a fine powdered mixture.
    • Then, add the saffron milk and make a fine paste.
    • Now, make fine small balls from this nut paste.
    • Cut the cheese into two parts
    • Then, add the saffron colour to the one part, and keep the other part white.
    • Now, make very fine small balls from both the parts.
    • Then, place a nut ball within the white cheese balls.
    • Then, cover this with the coloured cheese balls.
    • Now, prepare the sugar syrup.
    • Then, boil cheese balls in the syrup on the medium heat.
    • Now, cook it for additional 20 minutes.
    • Then, leave it for cooling.
    • You can serve it with the sugar syrup.

    Some Useful Tips

    • Always use a high flame for cooking Raj bhogs.
    • Froth the sugar syrup continuously as the raj bhogs are cooked.
    • Pan dimensions should be 200mm x 150mm (8" x 6") in diameter and height respectively. Make sure that the pan is filled up to 1/3 rd of its height.
    • Water should always be sprinkled in measured quantity when cooking Raj Bhogs. Excess water should be avoided. A teaspoon of water sprinkled through hands will do.
    • Variation: Badam Bhog
    • Instead of almonds and pistachios add chopped almonds. Two teaspoons of chopped almonds are enough.
    • Squeeze badam bhogs after they have been chilled. Dip them in rabdi cream.
    • Use fork to pick badam bhogs. Remove excess cream by shaking them gently. Keep them in paper cups. Garnish with sliced almonds. Paste silver foiling on the surface for looks.
    • Serve chill.
