In Bengal, it is a tradition to have curd before you start any auspicious work. Curd or Doi as you say it in Bengali is a wonderful and unique recipe, which you can make at your home with ease. This dish is made of milk and sugar and it is considered as a healthy product. It is the most natural substance, which you can have, as it does not contain any added flavors.

- Take Use Of Milk, Which Is Full Of Cream One Liter, Would Be Sufficient
- Yogurt- Three-Four Tablespoons
- Sugar As Per Your Choice
How To Make Mishti Doi
- Initially you have to take a bowl in which the milk would fit in perfectly. Then you have to boil it on a dim flame. Boiling the milk is important, as it will help you in having the perfect texture, which is required for “mishti doi.” Remember to stir the milk frequently so that the milk does not boil over. Once this process is done, keep the milk aside to cool.
- Use the sugar as per your choice and melt it by heating it over a low flame. Melt the sugar and keep it on the flame until it is brown. Once you get that brownish color, add the milk in it and mix it well.
- Once the sugar and milk are mixed in a proper manner, you can add the yogurt and mix it well.
- Once it is mixed in a proper manner, you can put it in a container as per your choice and keep it away from light so that the doi sets well. It is good to use an earthen pot to have a unique taste of its own.
- Chill the doi after it is settled, and serve it as per your choice
