    Cham-Cham

    Brief Description

    Cham cham is a true delicacy. It has a very sweet taste. It has its origin typically from the land of Bengal. It has its relation with the traditional Bengali culture. These cham chams are easy to make and they have a unique and sweet flavour. Making a cham cham is not a tough task as Cham cham recipe has very few requirements and all the ingredients involved in cham cham preparation are widely available in all domestic kitchens. It is the first choice of sweet lovers.

    Ingredients for Cham-Cham

    • Paneer Weighing 450 grams
    • Four Cup Full Of Water
    • Two Cups Full Of Sugar
    • Rose Water Two To Three Tablespoon
    • Saffron In A Very Little Amount
    • Fresh Thick Cream In 200 grams wt

    How To Make Cham-Cham

    • Take a bowl put paneer in it and start kneading the paneer. Keep kneading the mixture of paneer until it gets smooth and there are no lumps present in the mixture. Removal of lumps is very necessary.
    • Take a pressure cooker and add water and sugar in it. keep the pressure cooker on flame and allow it to boil . Donot cover the pressure cooker with a lid while forming the sugar syrup for
    • Meanwhile divide the dough of paneer into small balls of oblong shape and keep rolling them till they become very smooth.
    • Now dip the balls in the syrup that is boiling and cover the pressure cooker with a lid . Put it on medium flame. Once you get a whistle take 8 to ten minutes before removing the pressure cooker from the flame.
    • Let steam be released completely from the cooker allowing the cham cham to cool down completely.
    • After they cool down put rose water and strands of saffron in cham cham and allow it to cool down for some hours
    • Remove the sweets from the syrup and arrange them in a platter after they cool down.
    • Make cream thick and fluffy by whisking it. Put this thick cream in icing bad and swirl it on the sweets
    • Garnishing of cham cham recipe can be done with slivers of any dry fruit.

    Some Useful Tips

    For making the syrup of saffron its strands should be dipped in lukewarm water.
