Brief Description
Sandesh is a delicious sweet snack and very popular among many people and it originated in the Bengal region, at present it is independent Bangladesh and the West Bengal. It is produced with milk and sugar. There are some recipes of Sandesh, which uses chhana commonly known as curdled milk or paneer in place of milk. You can make this recipe by following the simple Pineapple Sandesh recipe and may start the Pineapple Sandesh preparation.
Total Preparation Time Ten minutes Total Cooking Time Ten minutes Servings Four Ingredients for Pineapple Sandesh
- 5-6 Fresh Thick Pineapple Slices
- 1 Cup of Fresh Curd
- 1/2 Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 Glass of Chilled Water
- 1 liter of Milk
- 2 tablespoon of Sugar
- 4-5 Drops of Vanilla Essence
How To Make Pineapple Sandesh
- First, chop the pineapple into small pieces (after removing the ‘eyes’ and the ‘bone’).
- Then, on the low heat, put the chopped pineapple in a pan and add 1 tablespoon of sugar on it.
- Then, add 1 tablespoon of water and cook it while stirring until the pineapple becomes soft.
- Now, remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool.
- When it cools down, then drain it through a sieve.
- Now, add lemon juice in 1/2 glass of water.
- Then, pour milk in a deep pot and boil it.
- Now, add curd and mix properly to curdle it.
- Then, add the lemon-water mixture in order to curdle it completely.
- When lucidity appears in the mixture, take it from the heat and put in a glass of chilled water.
- Allow, it cool for about 2 minutes and drain it with the help of a muslin cloth to collect the remaining chhena.
- In order to cool and wash the chhena well, hold the cloth properly containing chhena like a pocket under the running cold water.
- Now, press it out gently to remove the excess water.
- Then, remove the chhena from the cloth and place it into a pot.
- Now, add the sugar and gently heat it, stir it until it dissolves completely.
- Then, take off from the fire and allow it to cool to room temperature.
- Then, churn this sweet chhena in a mixer until it becomes very smooth.
- Then, take the pineapple in a tiny cloth and squeeze it gently to remove the excess water.
- Now, blend this in the mixer with the vanilla essence until crushed.
- Now, add this crushed pineapple to the chhena and mixit well.
- Spread this mixture on a plate and then put it into the refrigerator to cool.
- When it is set, then press the portions of the mixture into the desired moulds.
- Then, allow it to set like a very soft pudding.
- Then, cut and serve it chilled.

Some Useful Tips
You can use about 3 to 4 drops of rose essence, 3 to 4 drops of fresh rose pink food colour and about one tablespoon of fresh rose water in place of pineapple slices and the yellow food colour.
