Pati Sapta is a very famous Bengali recipe and many people enjoy this sweet dish on various occasions. It is really a delicious and nutritious sweet dish, which can be prepared at home no various joyful events within a short span of time.
Total Preparation Time Fifteen minutes Total Cooking Time Twenty minutes Servings Two Ingredients for Pati Sapta
For Stuffing
- 3 cups of Grated Coconut
- 1 tablespoon of Khoya
- 1 cup of Sugar Or Date Palm Jaggery
For Batter
- 3 cups of all-Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon of Fresh Condensed Milk
- 4 cups of Milk
- Sufficient Ghee To Fry
- ½ cup of Fresh Semolina
- ¼ cup of Rice Flour
How To Make Pati Sapta
- First, take a pan and add some grated coconut and sugar in it. Then, mash the coconut and mix it appropriately until the mixture becomes a slight moist.
- Then, turn on the heat and put the fresh khoya in the pan. Stir it until the mixture becomes light brown and sticky. Then, turn off the heat and remove the pan from the heat.
- Now, in order to make a batter, add the semolina, all-purpose flour, fine rice flour in a pot and mix it thoroughly.
- You can also add some fresh milk in order to make the consistency of the batter thin and very smooth.
- Then, heat a frying pan and smear a little oil or ghee on it.
- Then, take a scoop full of batter and then pour it on the frying pan. Now, evenly allocate the batter in a circle.
- When one side is cooked, turn over; put the stuffing at the centre of the circle in the lengthwise format.
- Then, fold it, and cook it until it becomes little brown in color. Then, put off the heat.
- Now, take it out and put a tablespoon of condensed milk on it.
- The delicious Pati Sapta is ready to be served.
