Kulfi
Brief Description
Kulfi is a famous Indian sweet and very similar to regular ice cream version. It’s delicious and mouthwatering. Kulfi is made by cinnamon, saffron and cardamom. It has some spices flavors which is filled richness of taste. Kulfi is easy and quick to make by following this recipe.
Preparation Time Minutes - 10-15 Cook Time Minutes - 15-30 Serves 4 Ingredients For Kulfi
- half and half (half milk and half cream) - 3 cups
- Cardamom pods - 9
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Chopped/sliced almond and pistachio - 1/4 cup
- few Saffron strands (Kesar)
- For Garnish - flakes of almond and pistachio
How to make Kulfi
- In a pan, boil the milk on average heat and add cardamom to it.
- Simmer it till the milk reduces one-third in volume.
- Now strained the milk and take them out the cardamom in the milk.
- Mix sugar and almond. Knead it well and covered it with lid.
- Refrigerate it till firm. Keep stirring regularly.
- Take them out from the freezer after chilling.
- Sprinkle with cardamom seed and almond. After serve by taking out of the container.

Some Useful Tips
- Always trying to use large pan to boil milk for better results.
- Put the ladle (spoon) inside the milk at the time of boiling the milk. It will help to prevent milk from boiling over.
