Malai Laddu
Brief Description
Malai Laddu is one the famous sweet of India. Malai Laddu prepared from condensed milk, cottage cheese, kewra essence, and saffron, scented with cardamom and sprinkled with almonds-pistachios. The term literally means “Heart-Stealer” in India, its delicious and mouthwatering, and every people always asking for second helping. Many ways for preparing Laddu such as traditionally Laddu prepared with Malai and Paneer mixed together. Here is the recipe to make Laddu easily.
Preparation Time Minutes - 20 Cook Time Minutes - 10 Serves People - 6 Ingredients For Malai Laddu
- 400 grams or 2 cups - Paneer
- 200 grams or 1 cup – Malai (homemade)
- 200 grams or 1 cup (powdered) - Sugar
- 25-30 threads or 1 pinch of yellow color - Saffron
- 2 tbsp - Cashew nuts
- 10 (finely chopped) - Pistachios
- 4 to 5 (peel) - Cardamom
How to make Malai Laddu
- In a pan, add Malai and fry along with stirring continuously for 4-5 minutes. Add grated Paneer and stir fry again till it become thick. Mix the saffron and milk to it and add 1 pinch yellow color (to give nice color) in the milk before mixing in it. Blend well and fry it some more time till it become very thick.
- Remove the pan and collect the mixture in a plate and keep to cool completely. Add sugar powder, Cashew nuts (chopped) and blend well.
- To make laddu, take some mixture at a time and make it into round shape. Put the on a plate. Garnish with pistachios and cardamom and serve.

Some Useful Tips
You can use Blender to make mixture smooth and soft, if the mixture is too dry or thicky.
