Badam Kheer
Brief Description
Badam Kheer is delightful and more popular dessert of Northern India. It is one of the main sweet of Uttar Pradesh cuisine. Everyone loved its richness of taste and something words can not describe it. Badam Kheer is easy and quick to make by following this recipe.
Preparation Time Minutes - 10 Cook Time Minutes - 20 Serves 4 Ingredients For Badam Kheer
- 1/4 Cup - BADAM | ALMOND
- 3 CUPS - MILK
- A PINCH OF SAFFRON
- 4-5 TBLSP - SUGAR
- 2-3 TBLSP(OPTIONAL) - CONDENSED MILK
- 2 DROPS - YELLOW FOOD COLOR
How To Make Badam Kheer

Put the badam in warm water and soak it well about 30 minutes. Set aside and take them out the peel of the badams.

Make sure should not remove the peel, You can use it at the time of grating any thogaiyals.

Grate it nicely and add the milk to it. Knead well till it becomes pasty and slightly smooth. You can add water instead of milk.

Now take saffron and soak it with boil milk.

In a pan, boil the milk on average flame. Keep stirring continuously till the desired consistency is reached. Add the condensed milk, if you want.

Now mix the saffron and ground almonds mixture to it. Allow to cook on average flame and knead well. Add the food color, if you want.

Now switch off the flame. Add sugar in the mixture and blend well.

Now it is ready for enjoy eating and serve warm or chilled as per your taste.

Some Useful Tips
- After adding the almond paste, no need to cook more than 3 minutes.
- First curdle the milk, and then you can add sugar.
- Do not reheat it.
