Motichoor Laddu
Brief Description
Motichoor laddu is one of the most famous sweet that is made all over India, second only to the all-time favorite Laddu. This is cooked and bought during some kind of special events, such as results, job offer, weddings, engagements, births etc. Motichoor Laddu is made by grilled gram flour boondis, dry fruits, milk, sugar, raisins, and cardamom powder and garnished with pistachios, cashew nuts. Here is the recipe to make Motichoor Laddu easily.
Preparation Time Minutes - 10-15 Cook Time Minutes - 20-30 Serves 4 Ingredients For Motichoor Laddu
- Besan (gram flour) - 500 gms
- Milk - 60 ml (1/3 cup)
- Sugar – ½ kgms gms
- Water – 1/2 ltr
- Pistachios (pesta), finely chopped - 1 tablespoon
- Cashew nuts (kaju), finely chopped - 1 tablespoon
- Raisins (kishmish) - 1 tablespoon
- Green cardamom (chhoti elaichi) powder - 2 teaspoon
- yellow food colour - 2-3 drops of orange
- For fry - ghee
How to make Motichoor laddu
- Sift besan. Mix ghee, milk, food color and water. Blend it well till it become smooth batter.
- In a pan, heat ghee on average heat. Hold a perforated ladle (spoon) above the pan and pour a perforated spoon of batter on the strainer.
- Nicely sift the better into the hot ghee. Cook it till the boondis slightly golden brown color. Remove and drain the boondis and set aside. Make sure not too over fry it.
- To make sugar syrup, add sugar and water and put it on average heat. Cook it till the sugar melts completely or thick. Remove the dirt from the sugar syrup.
- Now transfer the boondis into the sugar syrup. Place it for few minutes. Add the raisins, cardamom, pistachios and cashew nuts and set it aside for 10 minutes.
- Grease the hands with oil and make the boondis into round motichoor laddoos via nicely pressing it with your palms.
- Set aside to cool completely and serve.
