Jhajariya/Imarti
Brief Description
Imarti is very delicious and delightful dessert and great its taste. It is prepared by urad dal flour, rice, saffron, sugar, cardamom powder. Imarti is more popular in North India. Learn how to make Imarti by following this Recipe.
Preparation Time Minutes - 15 Cook Time 30 minutes Serves People - 4 Ingredients For Imarti
- 1 cup - Split black gram skinless (urad dal)
- 1/4 cup - Rice
- 1 pinch - Saffron colour
- 5 cups - Sugar
- 1 teaspoon - Green cardamom powder
- For deep Fry - oil
- Edible orange red colour as required
How to make Imarti
- Add urad dal and rice and soak it for about 45-50 minutes. Drain it well and grate it to prepare batter. Whip the batter along with color to a spongy mixture, soft with coarse texture. Make sure batter should not be too thick or thin. To make sugar syrup, add sugar, water and boil it till the single-thread consistency is reached.
- Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder and saffron. Set aside.
- In a pan, heat the oil. Fill the batter in Imarti Cloth and press the better nicely via hole into the pan. Keep in mind that makes it small circular shape for traditional design.
- Now prepare another circle over these 2 prepare scallops in anti-clockwise direction finishing at the beginning point, prepare little batches and fry on both sides until it becomes slight brown.
- Make sure prepare not more than 3 to 4 at a time. Drain it. Transfer it into the sugar syrup. Place it for little time till absorbed syrup nicely.
- Now take them out from the syrup and gather it in a plate. Similarly do this process at all.
- Sprinkle with pistachios and serve.
Some Useful Tips
Always use grinder for better results.
