Time to prepare Thirty minutes Time to cook Fifteen minutes Number of serves Two serves Ingredients for Fish with Pear Chutney:-
- Indian Salmon Fish (Fillets) - 500 g
- Pears (Large) - 2
- Red Chilies (Crushed) - ½ tsp
- White Pepper Powder - ¼ tbsp
- Ginger (Paste) - ½ inch
- Lemon Juice (Fresh) - 1 tbsp
- Mace - 1 blade
- Star Anise - 1
- Cinnamon - ½ inch
- Black Cardamom - 1
- Raisins - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
- Vinegar - 2 tsp
How To Make Fish with Pear Chutney
- Firstly, chop the pear and puree other one.
- Rub some lemon juice and salt on the pieces of the fish and keep aside for fifteen minutes.
- Now mix some ginger, white powdered pepper, coriander leaves and salt.
- The mixture should be rubbed on the fillets of the fish and set kept aside for ten minutes.
- In a wet cloth put the cinnamon seeds, mace, star anise, ginger and cardamom and fold it firmly.
- Now put one cup of water in a pan and put it in the spice.
- Add the chopped pears, raisins, crushed red chilies and sugar.
- Cook on a medium flame for five minutes.
- Add the pear puree and cook for three minutes.
- Add little vinegar and cook until it transforms in the nature of chutney.
- Now fry the pieces on both sides evenly.
- Place it on a plate and pour some chutney.
- Garnish it with the coriander leaves.
Some Useful Tips
- The Fish Fry recipe is similar to many other fish recipes. You can go ahead and add more pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, masala powders etc.
- You can serve this recipe with steamed rice and dal. It is a simple meal without much spices and does not makes the stomach heavy.
- The recipe can be served with freshly sliced lemon and onions.
