Komolabhog
Brief Description
Komola bhog is one of the most famous desserts of Bengal and slightly larger than regular rasgulla. It has orange color and similar to other rasgulla. It is made up fill the dry fruits in the middle and especially these types of special desserts make during festive occasion.
Preparation Time Minutes – 10 Cook Time Minutes – 45 Serves Pieces - 4 Ingredients For Komolabhog
- Full cream milk for cheena - 500ml
- Squeeze out the juice - 1 lemon
- All purpose flour - 2 tbsp
- Sugar for sugar syrup - 1 cup
- Water - 3 cups
- Good quality rose water - 1 tsp
How to make Komolabhog
- To make chhena, heat the milk and curdle it by mixing lemon juice and stir it properly. Mix some drop orange extract.
- Now drain it via diluted muslin cloth. Extract the chhena after wash it under running tap water.
- Take them out chhena and drain it. Mix 2tbsp all purposes-flour and blend it well. Make all chhena pieces in the form of small round balls with the help of your palms. Keep aside.
- To prepare sugar syrup, Boil the water in a pan and mix sugar in it. Knead well. Hold it about 5-6 minutes for cook till the preferred consistency is arrive at.
- Put these balls in the syrup and lid slightly covered for cooking 10-15 minutes. Chhena dumplings will rise and swell. Add 1tsp good quality rose water at the time of cooling.
- Komolabhog is ready to enjoy eating and serve cold.

Some Useful Tips
- Full cream milk should be use.
- For making colored rasgulla, always avoid the food color to the milk. Take preferred food color while blending the chhena, Normally use these colors like yellow, orange and pink.
