Abar-khabo
Brief Description
Abar khabo is an Indian dessert. It is popular in Bengal region and also rest of India, Rasgulla or Rasgolla is an ever-green and all time favorite itself. The actually means of Abar khabo is “heart-stealer” in Bengal region, and people like too much it they never says that its enough about the Abar khabo, always trying to second chance. The most common way of making Abar-Khabo is with the use of chhena or cottage cheese, sugar, saffron threads(kesar), pistachios, raisins and khoya.
Preparation Time 10 minutes Cook Time 45 minutes Serves 4 minutes Ingredients For Abar-khabo
- Cottage cheese chhena - 35 oz.
- Khoya - 5 1/3 oz.
- Sugar -14tsp
- Saffron (kesar) threads - 8-10
- Raisins and finely chopped pistachios – 1tsp
How to make Abar-Khabo
- Take a bowl; mix the paneer and sugar, tossing well.
- Now put on the pan cook on over low heat until they changes in color. Mixture divided into 2-parts equally.
- In the first part, take the finely chopped pistachios and raisins. Make small round balls with the dough and keep aside.
- Now move on the second part of the dough and divided into number of balls equally. Press 2-balls against each other for sticking together.
- Now roll these balls over with grate some khoya. Serve cold and refrigerate.
