Brief Description
Combination of Makki ki Roti and sarson ka Saag, no comparison. These are famous in north India. If one can make corn tortilla, then making this is not a tough task. It is like a traditional roti, but lack of gluten makes it hard while rolling.

Ingredients of Makki Ki Roti
- Maize Flour - 1 cup
- For Dough- Hot Warm Water
- Salt Acc to Taste
- Ghee For Brushing
How to make Makki Ki Roti
- Mix all dry ingredients together.
- Put hot boiling water into the mixture.
- Mix it softly.
- Keep it aside for few minutes.
- We use hot water because it helps in mixing the ingredients properly, otherwise lumps can occur.
- Knead the dough till it gets smooth.
- Make small balls from the dough.
- Place it on a butter paper or on any oily surface to flatten it up.
- Now place another butter paper on top of the flattened dough for stretching it up..
- Remove the top butter paper.
- Now slowly and carefully transfer the pancake on to your palm because pancake can break any point of time.
- Now remove the other butter paper.
- Put this pancake into the mid head pan.
- Apply some butter to the edges of the pancake.
- After 4-5 mins turn the pancake.
- Keep on doing the same process until the color changes to dark yellow.
- Serve with butter upon it.
Makki Ki Roti
Some Useful Tips
You can use finely grated raddish also. But before using make sure you squeeze out water from it. Otherwise it leads to the sogginess of the dough. You can added onion also.
