Vadas of Moong daal are among popular crispy and spicy snacks of India. The composition of delicious snack is soft from inside and crispy from outside. Preparation Time 30 minutes Cooking Time 30 minutes Serves 3 serves Ingredients for Mung Dal Vada:-
- 1 Cup Of Moong Dal In Splitted Form
- 1 Cup Of Potatoes Boiled
- Two Tablespoon Of Coriander Leaves
- One Tablespoon Of Green Chili
- One Tablespoon Of Grated Ginger
- One Tablespoon Of Cumin Seeds
- 1/8 Tablespoon Of Asafetida
- 1/8 Tablespoon Baking Soda
- Salt
- Oil
How To MakeMung Dal Vada
- Soak and wash daal of moong for about 4 hours in three cups water.
- Use water to properly coarse the daal
- Add dal batter, coriander chopped, potatoes, green chili, cumin seeds, ginger, salt and asafetida.
- Make batter light as possible by beating it. Add water to make it softer. In case it is thick vadas will become hard.
- Use medium to high flame for frying oil in pan.
- As soon as batter starts sizzling in oil means, the oil is ready for frying the Moong Daal Vada preparation.
- Drop one-tablespoon batter inside the fried oil. Keep frying the vadas in small proportions. Frying should account until they appear golden brown.
- Serve and enjoy these delicious vadas along with chutney.

Some Useful Tips
Before blending the moong daal soak it for near about one hour.
Addition of baking soda is must before cooking. Avoid mixing of baking soda with formulations of batter for leaving it for post cooking.
Use knife in order to check that vadas are cooked or not, by taking out the amount on knife’s edge. In case batter does not stick on knife the vadas are cooked properly otherwise more frying will be required.Other Similar Recipes
