Brief Description
This Diwali dish Bajri vada is authentic and typical dish of Gujrati people and is served along with snacks, which tastes amazing. Bajri Vada looks good and tastes amazing, as it is crispy and preferred by Gujrati people as breakfast or supplement along with tea in morning. Bajri vada recipe is very simple and they taste delicious and can account for long time since they do not replenish and this feature allows them as one of wonderful stuff for snacks as they can last long. Even kids love to eat this amazing snack of Gujrat so it is good to learn Bajri vada preparation.
Preparation Time 20 minutes Cooking Time 15 minutes Serves 2-4 Ingredients for Bajari na Vada:-
- Bajriflour Avbout One Cup Also Called Pearl Millet
- Wheat Flour Of About Half Cup
- 1/8 Cup Of Suji
- 1/4 Cup Of Plain Yogurt Popularly Called Dahi
- 1 Tablespoon Of Ginger Paste
- 1tablespoon Of Garlic Paste
- 1 Green Chili After Chopping
- 1 Tablespoon Of Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Of Chili Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Of Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Of Coriander-Cumin Powder
- 3 Tablespoon Of Sugar
- Salt For Taste
- Water Or Oil To Use Knead Dough
- Oil In Order To Fry The Dish
How To Make Bajari na Vada
- Press the dough after mixing of all the ingredients in proper manner
- Use water to have chewy texture and for soft texture use proper amount of oil.
- The dough used for this purpose of Bajri vada preparation should be soft
- Prepare close 15 balls. For making small vadsas pat the balls using little force on palm
- Keep frying the unprepared vadas after heating of oil
- The advantage of Bajri vada recipe is that you can try it either warm or cold
Some Useful Tips
- Bajri vadas can account for serving in both cold and hot format.
- This dish can stay fresh up to 5 days if prepared properly. (As the vadas with green chili does not last longer, so green chilly is replaced by red chilly in this case.)
- Vadas taste amazing with Green chutney, hot tea or Pickle.
