There are some ingredients that are very necessary to make / prepare payesh. They are so essential that without exact quantity and perfect quality of them, it is very tough to make good payesh. Here are some ingredients. They are given below:
- Milk 2 litres
- Rice 200 grams
- Nutmeg Powder ½ tsp
- Cardamom Powder ½ tsp
- Chopped Pistachios 2 tbsp
- Jiggery Soft 200 grams
- Chopped Almonds 2 tbsp
- Kesar Strand 6
How To Make Payesh
- Wash about 200grams of rice and let it dry for some time.
- Boil some quantity of milk that is required to make payesh for about fifteen minutes.
- Add rice to it and cook it until rice becomes well done along with the milk that become thick.
- Add all the other flavour ingredients like kesar, cardamom powder and powder of nutmeg powder.
- Add jiggery into it and stir until jiggery melt into it.
- Now take it out from the fire.
- It’s time to garnish it with all the chopped pistachios and almonds.
- Now payesh is ready to serve and eat.
