Brief Description
Parsi Patrel Roll is a special kind of dish, which is usually made on New Year of Parsi (Navroz). It is very easy to learn the process of making PARSI PATREL ROLL by following recipe.
Cooking Time 45minutes Preparation Time 25 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients For The Recipe
- Arbi Leaves 30 small (Colocasia)
- Tbsp Oil 6
- Green Chilies 6
- One Pod Garlic
- Coriander Seeds one tsp (Dhania)(roasted)
- Cinnamon Stick
- Bananas 2 (mashed)
- Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp (chopped)
- 6 Cloves
- Turmeric Powder ½ tsp
- Cumin Seeds 1 tsp (Jeera)(roasted)
- One Inch Ginger
- Red Chilies 6
- Whole Rice Flour 1/2 cup
- Gram Flour (Besan) 1/2 cup
- Wheat Flour 1/2 cup
- Jaggery 2 tsp (gur)
- Tamarind Water one cup
- Salt according to requirement
How To Make The Recipe
- Cut the middle section of the every leaf and wash them in plain water.
- Mix all the ingredients with each other including water for making a thick paste that not include oil.
- Put biggest leaf on plate and place thin coating of paste over it. Put second leaf as it and repeat this process for ten times. It needs to roll them from completely for making shape of Swiss role with it. Tie it with thread. Repeat the same process for all the leaves that are rest to use.
- Take one pot with lid and put water in it. Cover the pot with lid. Put the Ready rolls over and cook it for sometime in low flame until it cooks.
- Make it cool and after that cut the rolls in piece. Deep-fry it with oil.
- Pour lemon juice and serve it.
Some Useful Tips
Patrel rolls are served with Parsi Dhansak or PARSI DHAN DAAR or with a vegetable dish to make it complete dish.
If you missed with interest (and sometime we do that all) and your curry become more salty. It not needs to throw. You just have to peel and put that in curry. The extra salt will absorb by it.
