Brief Description
Banana payasamis one of the most delicious and tasteful recipes in South India. Banana is considered to be one of the healthiest fruits and this fruit is very easily available too. In some states, you will be getting bananas at a high cost and in few at a very cheap cost.
Time for preparation 5 minutes Time taken for cooking 20 minutes Number of people 3 people Ingredients For Banana Payasam Recipe:-
- Large Well Ripe Bananas 2
- Milk 2 cups
- Water 1/2 cup
- Powdered Jaggery 1/2 cup
- Cardamom 1/2 tbsp
- Saffron 2 pinch
- Butter 3 tbsp
- Finely sliced Badam, Cashew nuts & Raisins
How To Make Banana Payasam Recipe
- Foremost you will be required to take a pan and add in it little butter and heat it. Ensure that you have roasted the dry fruits and you should also add in them raisins.
- Now, you will be required to mash the bananas with your hand and you should form the rough paste.
- In this step, you will be required to heat the butter in a pan and make sure that it gets melted and then add in it banana paste. You will be required to fry them until it gets the color of slight brown.
- Now, you can add in it jaggery and make sure that you mix them properly. When you find that all the jaggery has been mixed properly, then you should add in it milk along with water. Allow it to simmer and then you should cook it a proper manner.
- Now, take the payasam and add in it saffron and you should boil it for few minutes and add in it cardamom powder along with the roasted dry fruits.
- Make sure that you have mixed properly and you should boil it. You should also enhance its flavor at a higher temperature and then you should cook this again.
- The dish is ready to be served.
