Brief Description
Simplest recipe of south India is Milaguvadai. In Tamil, “milagu” means peppercorn whereas “vadai” means fritters.
Preparation Time 15-20 mins Cooking Time 30 mins Serves 4 Ingredients For Milaguvadai:-
- Uraddhal-1cup
- Rice Flour-1/4cup
- Oil For Deep-frying.
- Salt -As Per taste
- Peppercorns-10-12
- Jeera-1-2tsp
How To Make Milaguvadai
- For minimum 2 hours, soak dal. After 2 hours, grind coarsely into paste and set aside.
- In pan, fry rice flour until one feels aroma.
- At same time, make coarse powder of peppercorn as well as jeera.
- Mix all ingredients and divide in balls of equal size.
- Grease oil on plastic paper. Next, pat these balls with wet hands into this paper and flatten it. Make one hole in middle too.
- Deep-fry these in oil. Place above tissue paper for drainage of excessive oil.

Storage in containers that are airtight should be done. Peppercorns in them make them yummy and their crispiness makes them lovable.
