Brief Description
India is one of the big nations in the world. It has been providing different varieties of food to many countries. “Aloo Took” is one of the dishes, which is a spicy and hot Indian snack. Chaat dishes are very popular all over India. Indian cookings and recipes involve huge range of herbs and spices. You can find this preparation served in the “Chaat Thela” at any shopping street. This Aloo Tikki is fried on hot griddle on charcoal cooker called “Angeethi”. You can find this Aloo Tikki as vegetarian and non-vegetarian also. Time for Preparation Fifteen minutes Time for Cooking Fifteen minutes Serves Three serves Ingredients For The Recipe
- Two large potatoes (aloo)
- Three medium onions
- Three table spoon raisins (kishmish)
- Four green chillies
- One-tablespoon corieander leaves
- Half cup of bread crumbs
- Three table spoon Oil
- Oil to Fry
- Salt to taste
How To Make The Recipe
- Finely cut all three onions and peel it.
- Wash and cut green chillies.
- Wash, clean and lightly cut coriander leaves.
- Boil potatoes.
- Peel and shred these potatoes to mash carefully.
- Heat up in a small amount of oil in pan.
- Add onion in it and fry softly.
- Mix in the onion, cut green chilies, coriander leaves, breadcrumbs and salt to mash potatoes and then mix well.
- Divide it into 8 equal portions.
- Stuff these each portions, make sphere and compress them.
- Heat the griddle and low fry these “aloo tikkis” with small amount of oil until they get golden light brown on both sides.
- Serve hot with green chutney and tamarind.
