Sardar Mahal has been constructed in the European style and it is situated in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
History
This was built by the sixth Nizam Mahboob Mir Khan Ali and this was done during 1900. This was done for the Sardar Begum consorts. However, Sardar Begum does not like the construction part and therefore she did not stay there. Irrespective of these facts, the building was constructed on her name. Municipal Corporation of Greater Hyderabad has completely taken over Sardar Mahal during year 1965 and this was due to remaining property taxes. It is planned that this palace will be converted into the museum and this has been declared the heritage building through the conservation Heritage Committee as well as INTACH. Accordingly, this is a palace where no one has ever lived. Moreover, this Mahal has remained abandoned for many years. Tourists can check out the Saifabad palace, this is the G block of Secretariat and it was constructed via sixth Nizam although it was never occupied. However, conservatory works are under proposal through which pristine glory of this Mahal can be easily restored and that can be effectively plagued with the fissures and vegetal growth. Tourism Ministry has plans to spend approximately Rs. 80 lakhs for this job.
