City Palace Udaipur
City Palace in Udaipur is one of historical and popular sightseeing attractions you cannot miss during your tour to this city of Rajasthan. History
As Udaipur was under the reign of Maharana Udai Singh II, the original construction of the City Palace took place in 1559 under his edict. By the time, Maharaja Udai Singh II was not more a ruler, his successors led the completion of this place right up to next 300 years. Today, it is recognized as the largest palace in Rajasthan and still reflecting the rich history and culture. In fact, they were the Maharana who are attributed to not only build the palace complex but also the city itself; they lived and governed their kingdom from within this palace.
Architecture
City Palace reflects a wonderful combination of the Medieval, European and Chinese architecture. This beautiful monument houses various towers, arches and domes which add extra elegance to this historical site. Reflecting rich culture and heritage, City Palace is truly a jewel in the crown monument. City Palace being complex in form, also homes patios, marquee, passageways, rooms and hanging gardens. Surrounded by ramparts, this impressive palace is entirely built in granite and marble.

Summers
Udaipur is a city in Rajasthan where summer is at the climax. And during these hot days where sun is emitting out extreme heat, it is hard to imagine to even visit this place during summers. Therefore, it is not a good suggestion to travel to Udaipur during summers.
Monsoons
